His Royal Highness Prince Haji Sufri Bolkiah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, SEA Games Federation Honorary Life President and President of the Brunei Darussalam National Olympic Council, watched the Wushu event of the 33rd Southeast Asian Games, SEA GAMES Thailand 2025. It took place at Chaeng Watthana Government Complex, 13th December morning.
His Royal Highness presented the medals to the winners. On the fourth day of the SEA Games, the national wushu athletes contributed a bronze medal through the men's Duilian category by the pair, Abel @ Lim Wee Yuen and Majdurano Joel Majjalah Sain. Gold medal was won by the host, Thailand while Indonesia won the silver medal.
In the combined events of men's Changquan, DaoShu and Gunsha, the national athlete Walid Lachkar was in fourth place for the Changquan category. Walid Lachkar is also competing in the Daoshu category. The Gunsha category will be taking place on the 14th of December 2025. The results of all three categories will be added together to determine the medals.
The national female athletes, Basma Lachkar and Lim Yee Sean were competing in the combined events of Taijiquan and Taijijian. For the Taijiquan category, Basma Lachkar was in second place, while Lim Yee Sean is placed ninth. Both athletes will be competing again in the Taijiquan category on 14th December 2025. The results of both categories will be added together to determine the medals.
